David Moore has been teaching the Alexander technique and yoga for over 35 years and runs training courses for Alexander teachers and yoga teachers in Melbourne, Australia. He is a registered Senior Teacher with Yoga Australia.
In this intensive weekend David will introduce you to a personalized approach to yoga outlined in his book „Smart Yoga: Use the Alexander technique to enhance your practice, prevent injury and increase body awareness.„
The course will run from 10am to 5pm each day with an hour lunch break. The course will include:
An overview of the Alexander technique
The relationship of Alexander principles to yoga philosophy
An analysis of habitual postural and movement patterns and how to change and improve them
An analysis of underlying structual patterns
Improving observation skills
A detailed anaysis of different asanas and how to modify them to allow for individual differences
Breathing and pranayama
Finding ease in everyday activities
Finding mental and bodily stability and ease in meditation
